As part of this partnership, we will be working together to make FAST NUCES a cashless campus. This will enable students, faculty, and staff to use digital payments to pay for goods and services on campus. leading to increased financial inclusion and economic activity of the unbanked.
This blog explores financial behaviors research findings on Pakistan’s youth and presents actionable steps. For this research, the Digital Miles team met with the students enrolled in the undergraduate and graduate programs of Fast University, Islamabad campus, between the ages of 20 – 24, one-third of whom were females.
Several supply-side digital payments and banking developments have taken place in Pakistan in the last 5-7 years,
led by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP),
and development finance institutions such as Karandaaz Pakistan (funded by the Foundation) and the World Bank.
