The Last Mile

The name Digital Miles takes inspiration from empathizing with women and men who cannot adopt financial services because they do not have the required literacy and financial knowledge to use the financial services presented to them. The last mile refers to the last stage of the buying process of a product. Unsuitable last mile designs lead to confusion, anxiety, apprehension, and distrust among the intended customers, resulting in the lack of adoption.

Digital Miles will focus on reimagining the last mile for the unbanked and marginalized women and men to unlock the demand for digital financial services.

Founder's Profile

Rehan has worked extensively in multiple industries over the last two decades. He has a deep interest in innovation and has led several transformation and innovation projects, resulting in the creation of new products and business models.

In the last many years, as Chief Digital Officer, he was instrumental in developing a center of digital financial services in Karandaaz Pakistan, a not-for-profit company funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Officer of the UK. Under his leadership, the digital financial services team at Karandaaz implemented several large-scale, high-impact projects in digital financial services. In addition, it pioneered private-sector development programs with a particular focus on women’s inclusion and empowerment.

In January 2023, Rehan founded Digital Miles (Private) Limited to innovate the last mile of financial services so that the unbanked and the marginalized can use and benefit from them.

Founder's Profile

Rehan has worked extensively in multiple industries over the last two decades. He has a deep interest in innovation and has led several transformation and innovation projects, resulting in the creation of new products and business models.
